About
We play the stories our audience brings.
Who we are
Flashback Lab Theatre is an independent improv theatre. We build shows from audience stories and live interaction with the room: no pre-written script, only what people bring that evening.
We work in playback theatre, physical theatre and clowning. We perform shows and run the music project Flashback Fools: live electronics, audience sampling and clowning.
Our first show was on December 29, 2022. Since then we have played more than 80 shows, and audiences have told us more than 450 stories.
The theatre was founded by Viktor Eremenko. Our main shows are in Russian; the new clowning format is performed in English.
The company is international and was born in displacement: professional actors with theatre degrees, clowns and musicians. Our motto: life is the best scriptwriter.
